One billion people can watch the Tour de Hongrie

Another milestone in the TV-market


With the help of A.S.O., communication and international media distribution partner of Tour de Hongrie, the race will reach more fans worldwide than ever before, by TV-coverages. Tour de Hongrie can be followed worldwide, in each continent, in more than 190 territories (live in 120 ones) with a technical reach of one billion people.



The 43rd edition of Tour de Hongrie departs 11 May the peloton travels 905km during the five race days. Tour de Hongrie is not just an international cycling race, but also a country-image event, an international martketing communication production: during the television broadcasts millions of people can see the beautiful landscapes, historical parts, spectacles of Hungary.

In Hungary, for the first time in the history of the event, M4Sport will cover all stages live from the start until the end. Our national sports channel will air highlights as well. „M4Sport has been supporting road cycling and been committed towards the race and the event. In addition to our cycling podcast it is an important task for us year after year to present Hungary’s biggest cycling race, Tour de Hongrie to the viewers. That’s why we are so excited that this year we will broadcast all stage live, from the start until the finish. It’s great to look back and discover how we made developments, improved the broadcasts together. First we had highlights, then some of the stages were broadcasted live and now, this year we can follow all stages live, without a moment to miss” – said David Szekely, director of M4Sport.



2022 Tour de Hongrie will be largely covered on Eurosport channels and digital platforms. Eurosport 1 will broadcast 45’ Daily Highlights of the first four stages in the evenings. Each Daily Highlight will be multi-replayed the next morning. Eurosport 2 will cover the final, 5th stage live.


News coverages comes next. There will be a worldwide news distribution through 4 News agencies: Reuters, SNTV, Eurovision (EBU) and AFPTV. Based on the data received from A.S.O. Tour de Hongrie will reach almost one billion households.
