Then, three days later, on 11 May Hungary’s biggest cycling race, Tour de Hongrie sets off – with the strongest peloton ever in the history of the race. Fans will be able to follow a real star parade during the five race days next to the roads or in front of the tv-screens.

Based on the preliminary entries, we will be able to welcome great riders, such as track Olympic champion, Britain's Matthew Walls, Olympic silver medallist Australian Stewart Campbell, Denmark's Olympic silver and bronze medallist Frederik Rodenberg, defending U23 world champion, Italy's Filippo Baroncini, moreover we can add at least ten national road champions as well: Austrian Patrick Konrad, Jonas Henttala from Finland, Irish Ryan Mullen, Yevgeniy Fedorov from Kazakhstan, Dutch Timo Roosen, Joey Rosskopf from the USA, Abner González from Puerto Rico, Ahmed Madan from Bahrain, Chung Kai Feng from Taiwan and our Hungarian champion Viktor Filutás.

However, the race may be decided and won in the mountains, final stage of Tour de Hongrie is going to take place in the highest point of Hungary, in Kékes with the finish on its 1014 m. Defending champion Australian Damien Howson will attend the Giro d'Italia this year, but two of his biggest rivals from 2021, Belgian Ben Hermans and Italy's Antonio Tiberi will be here and fight for the victory in the general classification - the battle is expected to be a challenging one.
