On Saturday, 14 May caravan of Tour de Hongrie departs from Kazincbarcika and after a roundabout returns to the city. The stage will have one big and two smaller laps with different type of hills. The 177-km-long stage has an elevation of 1300m and it also includes three intermediate sprints and three GPMs.

Tour de Hongrie has visited Kazincbarcika in 2006 and 2007, then in 2018 the city became such an important venue in the history of the race, as Tour de Hongrie ended in the „City of Colors”. The etape was won by Germany’s Holler and the yellow jersey was given to the best of the general classification, Italian Manuel Belletti. In 2019 the city hosted a stage-start, when Hungary’s Krisztian Lovassy won, two years ago Italian Jakub Mareczko was the first to cross the finish line.
